But we need to tell people about our reference projects, so the idea of using case studies was agreed upon.

Floor screeding pumps operate at high pressures to move screed along their connected pipes. The energy of the high pressure can cause the pipes to move, shake, scrape and bang into objects near them. We have all seen the common garden hose move around like a snake. Well, screed pipes have the ability to do the same but with much more force. Typically the pipes are joined by metal clasps and you certainly would not want these clasps whacking into anything delicate.

These pictures were taken at a live hotel site, with paying guests, and show protection measures that can be taken to mitigate such effects.

We love our job, the variation in the projects that we carry out can be quite astonishing. One minute the most expensive part of London, the next a residential barge, then up at the 2012 Olympic site, then onto a school and then to a shopping centre for a world famous doughnut company.

We were asked to screed the Thames Barrier and what an interesting project that was in terms of logistics. More on that later as we will write up that project fully. Take a look at these interesting pictures.

Floor screeding pumps are an essential part of our business. Forced action mixing is the only way to guarantee the correct mix consistency and requires powerful technology to achieve this. The pipes have to take these enormous pressures and strains. The “whip check” system allows for safe working conditions and should there be a pipe incident these devices will help to minimise any safety or damage concerns.

I have been looking at a site called Wordle where some key words are scrambled up to make an image as you can see above. This is actually quite clever stuff as Wordle was able to generate this picture directly from the CSC Blog.

On the blog named ‘CSC go to the Movies’ you can see my little brother leveling out some screed on the studio 9 site at Elstree Studios in North London. Not to be outdone where my brother was checking the work quality I decided to find out how the CSC marketing was being conducted!

Actually this was a very interesting project and we will write this up fully.
